ATV provides a full range of Axial Nozzle Check valves for production, processing and transmission applications, suitable for pressure up to Class 20.000 psi and Class ANSI 2500, and water depths up to 10000 ft (3000 m).
An Axial Nozzle Check Valve is the preferred solution for critical applications where backflow prevention is requested. It is mostly installed downstream of rotating equipment, such as subsea pumps and compressors, to protect them from any possible damage due to the backflow.
The Axial Nozzle Check Valves have typically a full bore design with optimized design of body cavity to grant a streamlined flow with almost constant section all through the inside passage and a spring-loaded disk with short stroke length, that grant low pressure drop, non-slam and a high-speed response time. A low flow is required to open the valve, ensuring high fluid dynamic performance.
The centralized spring mechanism ensures stable and smooth reply during the operations. Furthermore, since the body is monobloc, there are fewer potential leak paths than the other types of check valves.
Due to its internal design, the Axial Nozzle Check Valve is not suitable for installation in lines where the piggability is a requirement.
Design is carried out using advanced parametric design tools and solid modelling programs. Valves design undergoes sophisticated structural and fluid dynamic analysis, carried out with FEA and CFA analysis: inner profiles are optimized in order to control the turbulence level and to increase device performances.
Materials are sourced from qualified suppliers on the base of specifications that reflect the industry standards (API, ASTM, NORSOK, BS, DIN or others), but do also incorporate additional requisitions resulting from long experience.
ATV designs, manufactures and tests its products in accordance with all the relevant Industry standards and codes (ANSI, API, ASME, DNV, BS, ISO, NACE, PED and others).
ATV stresses its willingness to produce engineered valves; therefore, it welcomes requests for special size, class and design requirements.
